We’re building a world where relationships are grounded in emotional clarity, not convenience. We believe that finding true love shouldn't be a game of chance.

Founder – The Match Makers

I began my career in 2020, training as an adult mental health counsellor and working primarily with individuals aged 18–30. Starting just before the first COVID lockdown, I quickly observed an intensifying epidemic of loneliness— something the isolation only magnified. My clients were grappling with a growing sense of disconnection, not just from romantic partners, but also from family and friends.

As I expanded my practice and began working with clients across India and the globe, a clear pattern emerged: the more digitally connected we became, the more emotionally distant we felt. Technology had bridged physical distances, but in doing so, it gave rise to a silent epidemic—one of apathy and emotional isolation.

Many of my clients, particularly in their mid-twenties and early thirties, turned to dating apps in their search for meaningful relationships. But their experiences echoed the same narrative: brief, non-committal, highly performative, low-vulnerability encounters. The swiping culture—with its addictive cycle of endless options, ghosting, and erratic communication—took a significant toll on their emotional wellbeing. I saw symptoms of anxiety, depression, low self-worth, and disillusionment arise—or worsen—as a direct result of these patterns.

Over the past five years, I’ve witnessed countless educated, kind, emotionally intelligent individuals spiral into self-doubt and hopelessness. With each unsuccessful connection, their hope in love chipped away, replaced by skepticism and emotional detachment. Yet, what struck me most was that amidst all this heartbreak, the desire for monogamy and meaningful connection remained strong.

The belief in long-term partnership hadn’t disappeared—it was simply buried beneath layers of fatigue and fear.

As I started working with couples—both from arranged marriages and love- based relationships—I observed another pattern: misalignment. Despite their commitment, many couples were unaware of their inner emotional patterns or unhealed wounds, which deeply impacted their ability to connect. Their values, life goals, and emotional needs often stood at odds, even if they were in love.

That’s when an idea began to take root. Through therapy, I had come to know so many incredible individuals on a deeply personal level—people who I felt would be deeply compatible based on their self-awareness, values, and relationship goals. But the ethical boundaries of my profession made matchmaking impossible within a clinical framework.

So I asked myself—was there another way?

That question led to the birth of The Match Makers—a matchmaking platform informed by the insight and intuition of a trained therapist, but designed outside the confines of a therapeutic setting. A space that focuses not just on surface compatibility, but on emotional health, value alignment, and self-awareness.

This idea is personal. I was matchmade casually by a friend—someone I had known only a few months. In our vulnerable conversations, she sensed I’d align with someone she had known a little longer. She was right. Five years later, we’re married and deeply grateful. What she saw in us wasn’t just chemistry—it was a shared value system and emotional fluency.

My Vision

My vision is to build relationships with strong foundations—like interlocking bricks that retain their individuality, yet form a sturdy base to hold the weight of a shared life. I want to help individuals not only find their person, but understand themselves deeply in the process— because that is the true key to sustainable connection.

With The Match Makers, I hope to bring this kind of conscious, secure love to all the monogamists out there who might be losing hope. Because healthy, lasting relationships still matter. And I truly believe we can build them—one intentional match at a time.
